Events, broadcasts, and outreach around the world
Born in Texas in 1944, Sheikh Yusuf was a Christian minister and successful businessman before his remarkable journey to Islam in 1991. His conversion — and his extraordinary gift for connecting with people from every background — became the seed of a worldwide dawah mission.
He founded Guide US TV and built one of the largest networks of English-language Islamic websites on the internet. Known for his warmth, humor, and deep sincerity, Sheikh Yusuf has traveled the world promoting interfaith understanding.

From one man's remarkable conversion in 1991 to a global network of Islamic outreach — the story of Estes Heritage Foundation.
The Estes Heritage Foundation exists to make authentic Islamic knowledge accessible to every English-speaking seeker of truth — through the power of television, the reach of the internet, and the simple, tangible act of placing a free Quran in the hands of anyone who asks.
Founded in the legacy of Sheikh Yusuf Estes, everything we do flows from the Quranic mandate to invite to the way of God with wisdom and beautiful preaching. We believe knowledge is the foundation of faith, and that every person deserves access to it — free of charge, free of judgment.
Today the Foundation operates three major programs: GuideUS TV, ShareIslam, and FreeQuran.com — each serving seekers and believers in a different way, and each sustained entirely by the generosity of our community.
"Whoever Allah guides, none can misguide. And whoever He misguides, none can guide."— A reminder that guides us in our work each day
Born into a Christian family in Texas, he would grow up to become a minister and successful businessman — laying the groundwork for an extraordinary future mission.
A pivotal encounter with an Egyptian Muslim businessman and his family led Sheikh Yusuf, along with his father and the businessman himself, to embrace Islam. His life's mission changed forever.
Sheikh Yusuf began traveling globally, delivering lectures and establishing a reputation as one of the most accessible and effective communicators of Islam in the English-speaking world.
Sheikh Yusuf founded Guide US TV, a free-to-air Islamic television channel aimed at English-speaking audiences worldwide, making Islamic programming accessible on a new scale.
The Foundation launched and grew a network of Islamic websites including whatsislam.com, prophetofislam.com, godallah.com, and others — becoming a major online presence for English-language dawah.
Sheikh Yusuf Estes was honored with the Islamic Personality of the Year award at the prestigious Dubai International Holy Quran Award — a recognition of his decades of service to Islam.
The Foundation continues Sheikh Yusuf's mission through GuideUS TV, ShareIslam, and FreeQuran.com — sustained by volunteers and donors committed to sharing Islam with every seeker of truth.
Everything we do flows from these principles.
